  1. Sugar, lemon and honey for arms and legs

Remedy: Mix the following ingredients: 1 tbso of sugar, 1 tsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of lemon juice and heat them until you obtain a smooth paste. Add water if the paste is too thick and let it cool a little. Before the application, dust the unwanted hair with corn or plain flour. After the spreading, cover the area with a waxing strip and pull in the opposite direction of hair growth.

  1. Banana & oatmeal scrub

The two ingredients clean very well the skin. Oatmeal exfoliates very well the skin, whereas banana smoothens it.

Remedy: Mash a banana in a bowl and add oatmeal. Apply the mixture, massaging the area for about 20 minutes, using circular movements. Wash gently, repeating the treatment two times a week.

  1. Alum and rosewater

Alum is an ingredient used by the Indian women to remove unwanted hair. You can find it either as a rock or as powder. Rosewater acts like a moisturizer, leaving your skin soft.

Remedy: Prepare a paste from1/2tsp. of alum powder and 2-4 drops of rosewater. Apply it with the help of a cotton ball and leave it to dry, then apply other layers for about 60 minutes (15 minutes for sensitive skin). Afterwards, wash, dry and moisturize with sesame or olive oil. Repeat the remedy several times a week.

  1. Basil and onion

Apart from helping a lot in hair removal, these two ingredients also help to the radiation and health of the skin.

Remedy: Peel 2 onions and crush their membranes along with 10-12 basil leaves, until you obtain a paste which you should apply on the affected area. Wait for about 20 minutes, then wash with warm water, repeating the treatment 3 or 4 times a week.

  1. Sugar-molasses wax

Molasses is rich in magnesium, which prevents the excessive hair growth. Combined with sugar, it is an effective depilatory wax.

Remedy: Put in a bowl 1 cup of sugar and molasses or dark corn syrup, leaving it stand for 3 minutes. Heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes, then add the juice of half a lemon. Let it cool a little before applying it on the skin. Use a waxing strip to remove the unwanted hair, pulling in the opposite direction of hair growth.

  1. Safflower & Thanaka

Safflower oil is used to clean and moisturize the skin whereas Thanaka powder is used in Myanmar, since old times in cosmetics. Hence, combined they are an effective hair removal.

Remedy: After mixing the two ingredients, you should apply the cream every evening before going to sleep, leaving it on overnight. In the morning, wash with warm water. The remedy should be repeated every night for several months.

  1. Blackstrap molasses

This substance is rich in iron and minerals which slow hair growth until they stop it grow over time.

Remedy: Consume every day 2 heaping teaspoons of blackstrap molasses. Should you consult a doctor before taking it if you have diabetes or you already take iron supplements.

  1. Spearmint tea

It balances the level of male hormones in the body, returning the androgens to their optimum level. Therefore, it is helpful for preventing excessive hair growth due to the fact that androgens are responsible for the appearance of unwanted hair.

Remedy: Boil a cup of water and pour in it 5-7 dry spearmint leaves, leaving it to steep for about 15 minutes. Drink the tea as often as possible.

  1. Green gram flour & rosewater

The combination of these three elements is very effective for sensitive and acne-prone skin. It not only cleanses the skin, but it also exfoliates it, removing the unwanted hair.

Remedy: mix 2tbsp. of green gram flour with 1-2 tbsp. of rosewater and 1 tbsp. of lemon juice. Apply the mixture and leave it for about 20 minutes, then wash the area and dry it. You should repeat the treatment several times a week until you remove for good the hair.
